We publish guest contributions on wishes, quotes, captions, celebrations and the small business of saying the right thing. Here is what we accept and how to pitch.
Topics we accept
- Wishes and messages for occasions — birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, condolences, milestones
- Captions and status lines for Instagram, WhatsApp and other platforms
- Festival and seasonal greetings, including regional festivals
- Writing advice: how to word a toast, a sympathy note, a farewell message
- Relationship and family communication, written practically rather than as generic advice
What we are looking for
- Original lines only. Every line in a submission must be written by you. We check, and anything recycled from another site is rejected outright.
- 900 words minimum, or 40+ original lines with real supporting copy.
- A specific angle. "Birthday wishes" is not a pitch; "birthday wishes for a friend you have drifted from" is.
- Plain English. Write the way you would speak to one person, not the way a brand writes to an audience.
- No AI-generated filler, no keyword stuffing, no thin listicles.
What you get
- A credited byline with a link to your site or profile
- One relevant do-follow link in the body where it genuinely fits the context
- Promotion across our channels and inclusion in our RSS feed
What we do not accept
- Posts written purely to place a link, especially in unrelated niches (casino, crypto, pharma, loans)
- Content published elsewhere, including on your own blog
- Affiliate-heavy posts or thinly disguised product pages
How to pitch
Send us your proposed title, a two-line summary of the angle, and a link to one thing you have written before. Pitches go to saylines.com@gmail.com with "Guest post" in the subject line. We reply to pitches we want within about a week; if you have not heard back, it is a no.
